TESTIMONIALS

‘Nottinghamshire County Council commissioned Iconic Productions to make eleven films on the Care Act.  The aim of the films was to deliver a variety of key messages that would be shared with the wider workforce on the Care Act. We wanted to use a variety of mediums to deliver the messages.  Sam at Iconic Productions was very positive to work with, offering creative ideas on how to make the films more engaging and interesting for the audience. His team worked positively with all of the people involved in filming, dealing sensitively with people who were sharing their personal stories on camera. He understood what we wanted to achieve and was committed to doing the best job possible on every film.

The films are of excellent quality and have exceeded our expectations. They have been very well received, and they have been used more widely than previously expected, with three of them being used on the Nottinghamshire County Council public webpages. They have also been shown at conferences, events and training both internally and externally. The films have been shared and adopted by local authorities in the East Midlands and have recently been taken by colleagues at Hertfordshire County Council. We are very happy to recommend Iconic Productions, who did a great job for Nottinghamshire County Council.’

Debbie Draper – Commissioning Officer – ASCH Transformation Team, Nottinghamshire County Council

Sam and Iconic Productions were commissioned by Rugby Borough Council to produce a short historic film as part of The Rugby World Cup schools programme. The aim of the film was to contextualise Rugby’s heritage of the game and contribution to the sport showing iconic buildings and artefacts which children would not have the opportunity to see during their visit. The film needed to be relevant, engaging and suitable for children aged 8 – 12 years old. The film also was required to include answers to quiz questions students would need later in their visit and the film would was to be shown in the Fanzone on a large screen.

I have been very impressed with the quality of the film which fully fulfilled the brief and included all the relevant content and was interesting and engaging. Sam was a pleasure to work with, listening to our needs and ideas, before going forth and creating the finished piece. The film has been very well received by the children, who have fed back that they learnt something and it was clear and concise. Teachers have enjoyed the film and it has helped to contextualise the game for them too. ‘Rugby – The Origins’ will have been shown 124 times to 2600 children over the 7 weeks. The film has been so popular it has been used during other events at the Fanzone including the opening ceremony, press days, talks and half term activities.

I would like to thank Sam for his professional approach and producing a significant part of our programme which has been exceptionally successful.’

Jessica Hartshorn – Learning and Outreach Officer, Rugby Art Gallery and Museum

‘Iconic Productions made the films for the Explore Your Archive Campaign in late 2013. It was vital that this archives sector-wide Campaign hit the right note – with archivists, with the public and with others we needed to communicate with. Sam’s films are outstanding and have been hugely admired. Sam demonstrated a real understanding of – and real connection with – our work; he also worked hard to get the very best out of our ‘film stars’. It was a pleasure working with Sam and I hope to do so again. I would recommend Iconic Productions without hesitation.’

Marie Owens – Head of Public Affairs, The Archives and Records Association (UK & Ireland).

‘The work you produced has enabled this campaign to be brought to life for the public and for The Games and Me champions to tell their stories in an engaging, creative and inspirational way…The Games and Me has been recognised formally by London 2012 as an inspirational and exceptional campaign which your work is an integral part of.  Our partners in London are also thrilled with the film and feel that The Games and Me is one of the best examples of public engagement activity across the whole UK.’

Dave Moorcroft – Chair, West Midlands Leadership Group for the 2012 Games

‘Iconic Productions were commissioned by Birmingham City Council, following a tender procedure, to produce an educational DVD on careers in the Jewellery Trade. Their approach was both flexible and professional and tailored exactly to our needs. Their personable approach put those being filmed at their ease when they were initially understandably nervous. We are delighted with the final product and Iconic Productions provided excellent value for money without compromising quality.’

Andy Munro – Operations Director, Jewellery Quarter Regeneration Partnership

‘Iconic Productions were a pleasure to work with.  They were detailed in their planning and execution, creating a documentary that detailed a complex and long running project accurately and succinctly. They worked well with all our project partners and adapted their approach to our collective needs. Iconic Productions liaised well with me as project manager ensuring nothing was missed and created a film and stills that will provide the project leader with a long lasting legacy and PR tool.’

Charlotte Brennan – Director, Spark Arts Testi

‘The team at Iconic Productions worked hard to understand the ethos of the programme and asked for supporting documentation and took time to get to the know the team beforehand who were delivering the programme. The team were so hard working on site and captured all elements from the UK final ensuring we had the best moments to add to the film. The questioning that Iconic Productions created was great, it was informed but was targeted questions to ensure that we got the best out of the finalists. Iconic managed this whole process and we didn’t even realise they were on site so this was a huge asset on what was an incredibly busy day!

We felt that the best part of the film were the ‘outtakes’ at the end. It showed the programmes’ personal side and we had many people asking for copies of the film. The International organising committee loved the film that much they played it a number of times at the European final in Valencia in October 2014. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Iconic Production for future marketing videos. Thanks again to Iconic Productions for a unique and personable film.’
