Care Act

Nottinghamshire County Council commissioned Iconic Productions to make eleven films on the Care Act. The aim of the films was to deliver a variety of key messages that would be shared with the wider workforce. Our client wanted to use a number of different mediums to deliver the messages. We offered creative ideas on how to make the films more engaging and interesting for the audience including: character based animation and infographic, text based infographics and a campaign style film.

It was a large scale project spanning 6 months from concept to completion which entailed working closely with our commissioners to bring a number of complex stories to life around social care, health and wellbeing. This involved sensitively filming interviews with a number of vulnerable people across the county at varied locations such as residential care homes, in temporary accommodation, in people’s homes, at Age UK, a dementia café and at a library.

The films have been very well received and embedded on the Nottingham County Council website, social media channels, shown at conferences, events and used for training both internally and externally. They have also been shared and adopted by 4 local authorities in the East Midlands and by Hertfordshire County Council. They have been implemented into an e-learning programme and several of the subtitled films are currently exhibited in G.P surgeries and libraries across Nottinghamshire.
