For the Electric Cinema, Birmingham 2022 Festival sites and Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony.
‘Movement Inspired’ is a series of eight short films blending Artistic Gymnastics with Contemporary Jazz. They feature Olympic Team GB and World Champion gymnast Joe Fraser, Commonwealth Games rhythmic gymnast Mimi-Isabella Cesar and a whole host of rising stars plus some fantastic local jazz musicians.
Each film represents the different apparatus used in Artistic Gymnastics: floor, vault, high bar, parallel bars, uneven bars, rings, pommel horse and beam. The films have a beautiful accompanying musical score recorded live at the Birmingham Conservatoire.
