‘501 Not Out’ to open the prestigious Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival

We are truly honoured to announce that our debut feature documentary ‘501 Not Out’ is an Official Selection and will also be OPENING the 15th edition of the prestigious trinidad+tobago film festival on Wednesday 9th September at 7pm (AST) for its Caribbean premiere!! We are absolutely thrilled that it is in competition for the ‘Best Documentary’ award at the festival. We are SO PROUD of the ‘501 Not Out’ team here at Iconic Productions and SO THANKFUL to everyone who has supported us on this incredible journey so far!! The Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival is the leading film festival in the English-speaking Caribbean and 120 amazing films from around the world will be screened from 9th – 15th September 2020.

‘501 Not Out’ will also be screened at the festival on Friday 11th September for 24 hours. With this year’s festival taking place online due to the global Covid-19 pandemic Brian Lara fans living in the Caribbean can enjoy the film with their families in the comfort of their own homes. 

Sam Lockyer – the director of ‘501 Not Out’ – is privileged to be speaking about the film and the festival on the opening night plus he will also be taking part in a Q & A with film critic BC Pires on Facebook Live after the screening. In addition on Saturday 12th September from 1pm – 2.30pm (AST) Sam is thrilled to be taking part in an industry panel with fellow Documentary Film-makers Henrique Amud (‘Stunned, I Remain Alert’), Gabrielle Blackwood (‘Unbroken’), Shari Petti (‘Jump!’), and Michèle Stephenson (‘Stateless’).  Earlier in the day the Academy Award-winning filmmaker Orlando von Einsiedel (‘The White Helmets’, ‘Virunga’) will be giving the first ever ‘ttff talk’ on documentary filmmaking, curiosity and finding compelling stories in some of the world’s most dangerous places.

We cannot wait for the festival to begin!!
